Weight Loss Quickly

Our body weight affects us in many ways. Many of us search for tips about weight loss quickly because being overweight affects our overall quality of life. There is a large body of research which supports the fact that being overweight can lower self-esteem, can lead to increased instances of depression and other health risks, and can limit our abilities to perform normal physical functions as simple as bending over to tie our shoes.

It is generally recommended that an overweight person should visit with a doctor prior to beginning a regimen which involves weight loss quickly. After performing an examination or assessment, the doctor will make a recommendation about how to lose weight effectively. This recommendation will generally address several issues including what to eat, when to eat, and appropriate activity levels.

After visiting with a doctor, many people have found that combining the following tips with their doctor's advice about how to lose weight effectively has resulted in a plan that allowed for weight loss quickly.

A weight loss plan that combines the appropriate amounts of mindset, exercise, and nutrition generally results in success. Once a person decides they WILL lose weight, an exercise plan must be developed. This can be as simple as committing to walking, running, swimming, and/or dancing for at least fifteen minutes each day.

Next, an appropriate diet must be developed and maintained. The word "diet" does not necessarily mean eating bland food in small quantities. "Diet" simply means the manner in which you nourish your body. An appropriate diet might consist of small quantities of carbohydrates and proteins consumed every 2-3 hours throughout the day.

Our bodies speak to us. Our body might tell us now is the time to start getting rid of some of the fat we have accumulated. Our body might warn us to cut back from walking 3 miles to walking only 1 mile until we are able to work up to 3 miles. We need to listen to our bodies.

Fiber slows the rate at which our bodies digest food. One result of increasing our intake of fiber is that we feel full for a longer period of time. In addition, fiber causes fat to move more quickly through our digestive systems. Plus, many types of fiber cause our insulin levels to spike by increasing our blood sugar levels, resulting in energizing our bodies.

We all know that fried foods contain alot of fat. We all know also that most fat is not particularly good for our bodies. Grilled food is generally a better choice than fried food. Choose grilled good over fried whenever possible.

Water hydrates and refreshes our body while eliminating toxins. Our bodies must remain hydrated. Drink at least six to eight glasses of water each day.

Many of us want to know how to lose weight effectively. We realize that a disciplined and consistent effort on our part is required. And, we appreciate the fact most methods to achieve weight loss quickly are doomed to failure. We simply need to educate ourselves, adopt a structured plan for weight loss, then stick to our plan in order to achieve weight loss quickly.

In order to lose 40 pounds in 3 months you need to find a diet which can do both things for you:

1. Help you to lose a weight in a fast pace.

Losing weight is a goal that will probably be all the more popular as the years go by. As the obesity epidemic grows, people will be all the more intent on making New Year's resolutions that involve some idea of weight loss. But just how should someone lose weight? Can the idea of weight loss be made into a workable New Year's resolution at all?

First of all, the idea of losing weight is very general, and it will be difficult to meet if you have no idea of how you want to lose weight, and how much weight you want to lose. You might also need to have an idea of how fast you want to lose that weight. Remember, weight loss is not as simple an idea as it's often worked out to be. Losing weight involves your entire body participating in the weight loss process: your muscle mass will change, the percent of fat in your body will change, and even your endocrine system, the group of organs in your body that is responsible for producing your hormones, will have to adjust to your new weight, exercise, and eating habits.

When making the resolution, think: how much weight do you want to lose, and how fast do you want to lose it? Do you want to lose weight in your overall body, or are there places in your body that have a lot of flab and are especially prone to weight gain? How much weight do you want to lose in a few months? All these questions need to be answered when you start formulating your fitness goals. These can determine what kind of weight loss regimen you need to follow - and moreover, you will need this information in order to tell your prospective trainer or nutritionist exactly what he or she will need to do in order to help you meet your weight loss goals.

You will need to consider different ways to meet your weight loss goals. There is the all-important exercise. You can choose to make your own regimen or to go to the gym. The advantage of having your own regimen is that you have more control over the intensity of your exercise, and you do not have to spend a lot on a gym membership. One disadvantage is that you may not have the time to carry out the regimen, and sometimes, depending on your fitness needs, it can be expensive if you have to spend on more expensive gym equipment.

The advantage of going to the gym is that you are forced to go because of the often exorbitant gym fees that you will need to pay. Some gyms also offer fitness training, weight training, consultation with a nutritionist, and free use of gym facilities, such as the showers and the sauna. However, you might not feel like going to the gym all the time. This might cause you to spend a lot of money for very little done on your part.

There are also many different exercises you can do, depending on your weight loss needs and your health background. There are the high impact exercises, such as boxing, aerobics, street dancing, and other exercise routines that demand a lot of stretching and twisting from you. This can be dangerous for you if you have bone or muscle problems. There are the low impact exercises, such as yoga or Pilates, which involve very gentle movements that aim to relax you. Such exercise will allow you to have greater control over your breathing, and greater flexibility over certain muscle groups. In particular, Pilates strengthens your body core.

There are also many different fun activities that have been turned into exercises. These include belly dancing, which can be good if you want to lose weight around your abdominal area. You can also do line dancing, jazz, ballet, and other forms of dance in order to strengthen different parts of your body and get yourself into shape.

These are only a few aspects of weight loss that you may need to take into account before you make your weight loss resolution. Remember, weight loss is not a simple idea, and there is no single technique that you can follow. You can use a combination of all these exercises, or even add it to a special diet. In any case, always consult with an expert before you do anything drastic. Your body will love you for it.

Weight Lifting Machines for Weight Loss?

New resort style mega health clubs are popping up all over North America. These clubs are packed full of expensive fitness and weight machines that offer hundreds of different ways to workout. You could go to one of these clubs and find a different machine to work the muscles of your arms or legs every day for 3 weeks and never repeat what youve done. Now that sounds very interesting and enticing, but is all of this variety necessary? It certainly is expensive. But do any of these machines help us lose weight? What are they really designed for anyway?

Some of the newer weight lifting machines can cost upwards of $5000 per machine. Each of these machines target specific muscles without affecting any other muscles. This is a technique called muscle isolation. Bodybuilders began doing isolation style exercises to make specific muscles bigger without affecting the other muscles around them. They do this because in competitions they are judged on the specific way they look and how big each muscle is compared to other muscles.

The average gym going person is never, in a million years, going to be in a position where they actually need to make their shoulders slightly larger without affecting their arms or chest because someone might think they look out of balance. However, most of the new gyms have countless machines that are designed to be this specific. Now unless there is a new bodybuilding revolution sweeping across North America that I am not aware of, all of these new weight lifting machines seem to be some what unnecessary.

The truth is most of the people who have a gym membership are there for general fitness and weight loss. Both of which can be accomplished with little or no machine assistance at all. In fact, the more muscles you work in each exercise the more calories you are going to burn, and the more overall change you will make to your body. These new weight machines are designed for the exact opposite effect. They are designed to only work a few specific muscles.

Weight training machines are great for advanced lifters, athletes and bodybuilders who are interested in shaping and building specific muscles. Whole body exercises that involve working the most muscles with each exercise are the quickest and most effective path to weight loss and fitness.

The Importance of Water for Weight Loss

Three quarters of the earth's surface is covered with water. Over the millennia it has shaped the earth, changing its structures and transforming it. Water has the same potential for the dieter, transforming their body.

The human body is between 45 and 75 percent water, depending on the amount of lean tissue and fat. Lean tissue (which includes muscles, bones, organs, skin, etc.) contains over 70 percent water, while fat (adipose) tissue contains only 10 percent. So, the leaner a person is, the more water their body holds. This is why it is essential for athletes with larger amounts of lean muscle tissue to take in greater quantities of water than the average Joe (or Jane) on the street. Water is one of the (if not THE) most important nutrients in the body.

Water makes up a large percentage of the volume of blood. Over 80 percent of the blood's volume is water. Water is important for transport. It helps transport electrolytes and energy throughout the body to target cells. It is also involved in many of the chemical reactions in the body, necessary for producing energy and maintaining homeostasis. Water is important in the digestive process, as well. It is essential in the removal of waste from the anabolic (building up) and catabolic (tearing down) processes going on in the body every minute, especially in dieters.

Myths
Drinking too much water will make you bloated and promote water retention. Old wives tale (sorry to any old wives out there.) Drinking water actually helps promote the flushing of water out of the system. The body only holds on to water when it thinks there is going to be a shortage. If it is getting an adequate supply, it will use the water for all its essential functions.

Ice cold water promotes more calorie burning. This one didn't come from old wives, but instead from misguided scientists. The belief was that since the water was cold going in, the body would have to burn extra calories to heat the water up. This simply is not true. The internal temperature of the body is enough to passively warm the water as it passes through the digestive system and into the bloodstream. So, ice cold water is good for a hot day to cool you off, but it does not promote more active calorie burning.

Drinking water with a meal slows down the digestion. This one has no real basis anywhere. Water is a key component in the digestive process. Drinking too much water during a meal might slow down the digestive process, but that is due to a full stomach, not the water. Anytime the stomach is stretched to capacity its ability to digest the foods becomes slightly inhibited. Drinking a regular glass of water with a meal will actually enhance digestion.

The Truth
Drink water. Drinking at least six to eight (up to ten is better) glasses of water a day will improve overall health and enhance weight loss efforts. By keeping the body functioning properly, enhancing digestion, promoting the elimination of waste, and feeding lean tissues water will help you achieve a healthy weight loss.

You will be conditioning your subconscious mind to accept your goal weight and it will compulsively guide you to do everything necessary to accomplish that result.

Am I qualified to make such a claim about this technique? I will let you decide. The photos you see of me that appear on my website were taken within the past couple of years and with some fluctuation, I have maintained this body for most of my life. I am healthy, trim, fit and look 20 years younger than my years. However, I come from a "fat" family. My mother wasn't overweight...she was obese, and when she died in the 80s, she was just a few years older than I am now. I won't give details about my younger sister - she's gone, too. And don't think I can't gain weight easily. Oh, yes I can, but my mind won't let me. It has been conditioned too well to keep me fit and healthy. I don't think about what I have to do to maintain that, it does it for me - I lift weights, I eat healthy foods and can indulge in fattening foods sporadically without repercussion. Automatic pilot. Will this technique work for you? I saywhat have you got to LOSE? Body back guarantee.

The whole point of the subconscious conditioning is to bring our consciousness to the point of acceptance that we already are where we want to be. Then the subconscious is compulsive and will intuitively guide us to the right foods, exercise, whatever it takes to fulfill that vision. But we must give the mind the right message.

The subconscious mind technique does not "replace" your healthy eating habits. It creates them! That's the whole idea. The subconscious is the seat of habit. And of intuition. With the right mindset, your healthy eating habits will become just that - healthy "habits" - instead of the compulsively unhealthy ones.

This is not a diet. This is the natural way we are created to use our minds - constructively and in alignment with Universal laws.

So again, we use our minds to accept the idea, thought and picture of a fit, healthy person at his/her ideal weight. Once that idea is instilled in the mind, you will automatically be guided and directed to all that is necessary for you to fulfill that idea. You will just intuitively want the right foods and pass on the wrong ones. You will adopt the proper exercise habits. You will be guided to the right coach or nutritional information to manifest your subconscious idea. It must happen because that is the law - the nature of mind. Mind will always create according to the seed thought.

Speaking of exercisein my opinion, one of the greatest exercises in the world for getting the metabolism in gear is putting on good cushiony running shoes, going outside and just walking fast -- a couple of miles of fast walking. Weight lifting is fantastic for replacing fat with muscle, and for heart and bones, especially for women. But I understand not everyone is into or ready to lift weights. And we still need that aerobic workout. So get outside and start walking. That's an addiction you will love to have. When you start releasing those endorphins, the whole world looks better.

Important Footnote:

If you have a lot of weight to lose, your subconscious mind may not be able to accept that you can be your ideal weight all at once. The important thing here is to not set up resistance or an argument in the subconscious. So the following is a good method to use to prevent this.

Pick a weight that you feel that you can accept at this time, one that feels believable. For example, if you now weight 180 pounds and your ideal weight is120, that's a very big leap of faith to accept. So you might use 150 pounds as the target number that you suggest to your subconscious mind as you fall asleep. That is more believable at this point in time and will be more readily accepted by the mind. When you do reach your goal of 150 pounds, you can then change your input to 120 pounds. You may also do this if you have to lose a lesser amount of weight.

The important thing to remember is that the information that is most believable will produce the fastest and greatest results. This same idea also applies to financial prosperity, but I will save that for another time. By the way, I have learned many of these things through brilliant new thought teachers, far ahead of their time. It is time for valuable esoteric knowledge to become mainstream. You can become your own case study in the meantime.
